Low salt intake can prevent Heart Attacks

As per a new research a reduced amount of salt in processed foods can actually prevent heart attacks and strokes.

The research was conducted on people falling between the age bracket of 40-85 years. The results indicated that bringing down the salt intake of the subjects by 9.5% brought a very significant fall in their blood pressure level thus reducing the chances of heart attacks in the subjects. As per calculations, about 513,885 Indians would remain safe from potentially fatal strokes in their lifetimes and another 403, 358 would not suffer heart attacks as a result of the reduced salt campaign.

As per the rough estimations, the reduce salt campaign may prevent approximately 403, 358 Indians to suffer from heart attacks and roughly about 513,885 Indians would remain safe from potentially fatal strokes in their entire lifespan.
